A Local Voice Putting Swindon First

As a local resident, I am extremely proud to be the Conservative Parliamentary candidate for North Swindon. If elected I would work tirelessly to always put local residents first, no excuses. Local residents deserve a strong voice in Westminster, in contrast to Westminster's voice in Swindon peddling Labour spin. As I have shown through my track record as a local Councillor, there will be no one with more energy, enthusiam and passion to stand up and put Swindon first.

Conservative Home Profile

Justin Tomlinson is one of the most impressive grassroots campaigners anywhere in the Conservative Party and now looks set to finish the job he started in Swindon North at the last general election, when he attained a well above average swing of 6.7%. His flair for campaigning and recruitment to the Conservative cause became clear as a student at Oxford Brookes, where he built up the Conservative branch from 19 to 900 members over four years. He went on to become national chairman of Conservative Future, became a councillor in Swindon in 2000 and, as the party's local election co-ordinator in the town, oversaw the campaign which saw the Conservatives gain control of the council in 2003. In his own seat, he secured no less than 76% of the vote at his last election. An archetypal community politician who promises to "work tirelessly to always put local residents first".
